Car Alarms: how to disable aftermarket alarm on my 97 saturn sc2 coupe, saturn sc2, sc2 coupe

button?   I have a 97 Saturn sc2 coupe with an aftermarket alarm. It has a toggle switch and a black button. how do i disable it and what does the black button do?

Hmmmm, Ok the button is to override the alarm functions
and program new transmitters.

Make sure you do the procedure correctly.

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET (BLACK BUTTON)SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override and arming modes.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR. (not certain why this would
be there if the black button is. Could
be from an older alarm system.)
