Car Alarms: 2008 Sienna, time carlos, stereo shop

Question
Please excuse my total ignorance! :)

I bought a 2008 sienna le at the end of 2010 from a dealer who tried to upsell the turning on of the alarm for i dont know how much but it seemed ludicrously high so we didnt get it.

is that something i could take to a shop and they could handle for a much more reasonable price?

Thanks for your time!

Carlos

Answer
Likely so. Dealers charge at least a 500% + markup to do this.
Bad business and a total rip off.

Take it to a local stereo shop for an estimate on retrofitting
this alarm or, adding a decent after market one.

It will be a whole lot less I'm sure and you are probably going
to get allot more for your money.

Good question.
