Car Alarms: locking system 1998 Nissan Altima, nissan altima, factory equiped

I do not have the auto opener for my 1998 Nissan Altima, only a key.  My door locks are opening & closing "contantly" regardless if driving with motor on or parked and motor off. On occasion horn will not turn off unless I put key in door.
Plz advise if the '98 Altima's came factory equiped with alarm system and how do I turn entire security system off?

Ok, unfortunately, Japanese door lock systems of
this era used a basic system. turn the key in the door
lock, left first, then right will typically unlock/disarm it.
The alarm and locking mechanism are 1 in the same,
so you can not simply disable it.

In this case however, there seems that there is a
grounding issue in the master door lock switch.

It can be from an after market system you are not aware
of, however, the intermittency suggests this is the trouble.

Have a local tech at a a car alarm shop do an onsite
evaluation to see if it can be spotted
and corrected or it will continue.
