Car Alarms: Ford alarm system, alarmtek, antenna tower

Question
I have a 2007 Ford Escape. The security alarm goes on periodically for no reason when I park the car in a particular spot. Is there a frequency from another electronic device such as wi-fi activating my alarm? Ford dealer says
there is nothing wrong with my alarm. Both horn and lights are activated. I have a remote.

Answer
Yes likely. See, the security systems that the OEM manufacturer uses
are not shielded well enough to block certain powerfull,
external radiation pattern signal generators within it's
receptive field/range.

The overriding transmitter is probably a building alarm system
close to where you are parking. Or an antenna tower possibly.

But yes, it happens. Best suggestion is to either park elsewhere,
or, investigate the building you are parking next to, for the
alarm system it's using, and try to figure out the times
it triggers your system. Then you can determine if
you just need to park it elsewhere during those times,
or negotiate with the building occupant to not turn the
system on during the day. (good luck on that one :>(  )

Wish there was a candy coated explanation but there
you have it. Not allot you can do to change it from
the Car alarm side of it.

The last possibility is that the remote you have is sending out a signal
on it's own. Best way to test that is to not use it.

Remove the battery from the remote for 48 hours.
If the alarm triggers where you parked, then that
is NOT the problem.

I hope this helps you discover the
trouble. Not an answer you may want to here, I know,
but it's a start in the right direction.
