Is there anyway to disconnect the Theft Deterrent System on a 2001 Kia Sportage? When you lock and unlock the drivers door sometimes it sets off and the horn blows. It unnerves my granddaughter..

"FACTORY Theft Deterrent System"
alarm is triggered.

Yours is not a "Factory/OEM" alarm.
It may have been purchased at a
dealership and installed after market.
