Car Alarms: car alarm shutting down vehicle system, trailer brakes, flip switch

I removed neg cable from battery to work on my trailer receptor plug for trailer brakes/running lights.The car alarm activated & now I cannot start truck ('95) Tahoe. I un-hooked wire to silence alarm. I cannot get truck to start, all that happens is dash, interior and parking lights flash on/off momentarily then stop. They will start flashing as soon as I open any door or turn key to start.There is a toggle switch under the dash. I have tried starting truck with switch off & on without any success. Can you suggest anything for me to try, that will help me get my truck to start again?? Desperate, need to tow trailer..Thank you!!!

Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.
