Car Alarms: Star Gard Alarm, relative questions, ford vehicle

Question
I have a Star Gard Alarm with remote start on my 2001 Mustang GT that was on it when i purchased the car used.  I took the battery out during storage and when I repladed the battery the electrical system is dead.  If I jump the battery the alarm sounds but the car still doesn't turn over.

Answer
Probably need to reset the PATS bypass used when the
remote starter was put in. When it lost power, the
PATS system was likley triggered.

First thing I'd do is have Ford reset the PATS,
then if it still won't start, I have set up a web site
to deal with the FORD P.A.T.S. "No Start" issue and
explained the methods, with illustrations, to get
around this common problem many Ford vehicle owners
& shop mechanics face everyday.

Please go to the FORD PATS website/Blog and begin your
project to learn how to bypass PATS so you can
drive your vehicle again!

Good luck and if you have more relative questions
about the Ford's P.A.T.S. (Passive-Anti-Theft-System),
please be sure to use the PATS BLOG link on that
page to post it or, any other comments you want to
express.

I do hope you find it useful,
& good luck with your project.
