Car Alarms: Removing aftermarket alarm, totota, attempted theft

1995 Totota T100 has an aftermarket alarm brain plugged into the stock toyota wire harness under the dash.  I want to remove the alarm.  When I unplug the alarm brain from the harness, the truck won't start.  1 Yellow,1 Red,1 Black,and 2 Grey wires in the harness.  Thanks!
