Car Alarms: disable car alarm for 98 ford taurus, ford taurus, relative questions

I have a1998 ford taurus and the theft prevention light is blinking constantly to the point that it is draining my battery. I need to know how to disable the alarm before the battery completely dies out. Please Help. Thank you for your expert advice. My car won't start because of this problem.
