Car Alarms: trc car alarm, flip switch, start the car

while jumping the battery in my van the car alarm started to sound for no reason and it wouldn't stop.i reached into the bottom of my dashboard for the reset button ,i pushed it once and it stoped.but now every time i start my van the alarm goes into a carjack mode and it goes on until i push the botton under the dashboard once,HOW CAN I RESET IT TO NORMAL FUNCTION? PLEASE HELP.

Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
