Car Alarms: 2002 rodeo after market alarm, wire colors, common person

vehicle alarm was barley beeping, running down. disconnected the battery. No common person knows how to completely disconnect..now the battery runs down continuously and the drivers door will not open with key or remote ? what is there to disconnect completely..no instructions to refer too. do believe the expense of the dealership is out of reach.
