Car Alarms: pursuit security system, resident technicians, shock sensor

Question
hey guys,
i bought an '01 toyota tacoma a while back. it has a pursuit security decal on the passenger window. i got to digging around under the knee skirt and found an audiovox shock sensor and an alarm control unit. i found also a small black box with a red light and a push button type toggle switch(?). the shock sensor appears to be model #PRO2000KD...i put a fuse in one of the inline receptors, turned the key to "full on" position, pushed the black box button, and let go 3 or 4 times, with each release emitting a short horn blast, with the last blast staying on until i released or mashed the button, at which time the full horn blast ceased. is this a factory-installed unit? the place from which i purchased the truck had no remotes, and that is where i stand today. love the truck, want the alarm system to work..thanks a lot, mike

Answer
Not quite sure what you have there.
Hmmm,on this one, the best thing here is
to go to my installers forum at
www.installsupport.com and see if
my resident technicians there can assist
with this.

Ask Robert specifically. I think there may be a past
thread on it.

Good luck there.
