Car Alarms: 2010 Dodge Charger Started Itself, dodge charger, proprietary equipment

Question
I have had a dodge charger with a factory installed remote started for a little over a year now.  A couple of nights ago I heard my car running outside.  No one was touching the keys but the car started anyway.  Should I be concerned?  What could the cause possibly be and how do I ensure that it doesn't happen again?

Answer
Probably has a temp sensor that starts the vehicle at certain
temps, like too cold/ too hot. I would not worry.

Some even have a time every night or morning
that it will start the engine as a standard feature
daily.

Again, no worries there unless you park
inside a small garage and are unaware of
this function.

But if this persists and you want more on it, call
Dodge parts for some clarity on what to expect
from their proprietary equipment.

Best resource for this info is where they sell it.
