Car Alarms: 97 Toyota Camry alarm system, toyota camry, brain box

Question

valet button how do i either replace the valet button, due to missing toggle button, or disable the alarm system completely so i don't have to keep disconnecting the battery every time i start the car??? please help...

Get a replacement at a local car alarm shop, locate the
brain box and replace it. Until then, fish out the
2 wires still attached, clip off the head (switch),
twist the 2 free wire ends together (copper to copper)
and then do the following:

First, turn on the ignition,
hold both wires to ground until the siren chirps.

That should reset and place the alarm into
override for now. Nothing accept the keyless entry
if installed will operate until you repeat the
same steps.

Then get a new switch and you're all set.
