Car Alarms: faulty car panic alarm, ford sportrack, car doors

Question
I have a 2001 Ford Sportrack and the panic alarm goes off randomly 4 or 5 times a month.  It goes off for 25 seconds and then stops.  Sometimes it will go off 2 or 3 times in a row.  It only happens when the vehicle is parked and unoccupied.  The Ford dealer said there is no way to disable the alarm.  Is this true?  Do you know a way to stop this thing from going off a 3am.  I can always tell if it has gone off because when I unlock the car doors, the horn will chirp 3 times.

Answer
Ok, Factory/OEM alarm depend on 1 thing,
perceptible battery drain. When it dips below
a 5% of normal set level, the alarm honks
the horn and flashes the parking lights.

First and fore most, change the battery.
My bet is that your troubles will stop
if all else is equal (no door lock damage,
an internal power source is on and drawing
power when the vehicle is off, etc...).

Best here is still, change the batter,
NOT simply recharging but getting a fresh one!

I'll wager it solves the issue.
