Car Alarms: Mercury cougar 2000 alarm, beep beep, mercury cougar

My Mercury Cougar 2000 factory alarm triggers sporadically. After reading previous answers I tryed to disable the alarm by connecting the "FACTORY ALARM DISARM" wire to GROUND. I found the wire(black/white) in the drivers door. Now instead of triggering the alarm the car sporadically makes a sound beep-beep - the same sound that it makes when you look the car with the remote. Once the car enters this state any Kay on the remote stop functioning and is causing "beep" sound. For example the trunk opening does not open the trunk, but is making beep sound. The sound is also accompanied by flashing of parking lights. The car exit this state unexpectedly., sometimes after several minutes, but sometime after hour.
I also changed the remote battery as I was paranoid.

Please, help me with some ideas.
