Car Alarms: Disabling an alarm, prestige alarm, deceased uncle

Question
I have a Chrylser Cirrus that I bought from a deceased uncle with a Prestige Alarm.  It somehow got into lockdown mode and I can't get it out.  The alarm sounds and locks and unlocks the doors. I've tried the valet switch to no avail.  I held it for about 2 minutes and the light never went solid or chirp sound.

What else can I try?

Thanks
Wayne

Answer
Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.
