Car Alarms: Disable Car Alarm...Possibly a Viper??, viper alarm system, vehicle alarms

Question
I have a 97 Acura Integra with what I believe is a Viper Alarm system. The remote has been acting weird the past few weeks and yesterday stopped working completely. I've changed the batteries...still nothing. When I push the buttons on the remote, the LED lights up so I know the remote is getting power, it just isn't deactivating the alarm. I a few people told me to look under the dash and find the alarm and unplug it but I have NO idea what I'm looking for and had my husband look too and found nothing. I just want to disable the alarm so I can start my car so I can take it somewhere to be removed completely. I would appreciate any help you can give me!

Remote Info:

2 Button Remote w/ red LED
2-29 Codes
FCCID: EZSDEI493C

Let me know if you need anymore info and I will get it asap.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Answer
Sorry about this, but legally prescribed.
Due to a mutual agreement with Directed
Electronics, I don't provide information
here for service or, support on any DEI
vehicle alarms or, remote start systems
since they have a dealer network designed
for that. That's how they want it.

Your's is one such device of DEI's.

However, for questions about DEI equipment
& support, I've set up an area where
you can get some help.

Please go to my forum at www.INSTALLSUPPORT.com
& ask Robert, the forum moderator, who is
there to assist you.

Just restate this inquiry there.
He's very good about getting back
to folks quickly.

That's
