Car Alarms: 02 Nissan Pathfinder Alarm, nissan pathfinder, door switches

Question
Help! The factory alarm in my 02 Pathfinder randomly goes
off throughout the day. Here's what I've noticed:

-While driving, the interior dome light has a tendency to
flash, which suggested to me that one of the door switches
was failing and could be the cause of the false alarms.

-I went to all the doors, and while armed, gave each door
some pretty heavy pressure over each switch, but nothing set
the alarm off.

I'm not opposed to changing out all of the switches just as
a precautionary measure, but just in case this is not the
solution, do you have any other advice?

Also, I am not opposed to the disabling of the alarm
altogether as long as the keyless entry would continue to
function.

Thanks!

Answer
I'd look at the groundinf points on the door plunger/triggers.
Make sure the wire in bacl of the switches ar solidly connected.

Then make sure all screws are firmly on place when re screwing the dome light plate in too.

Over time, vibration will loosen a ground point, and cause
this type of intermitency.

Start there. Then if it is still acting up, you can
go deeper into cause.

Good luck.
