Car Alarms: 2000 Accord Alarm goes off on its own, silly mode, honda usa

Question
QUESTION: Honda USA Have my complaints Since June, So Does the Dealer.
I can leave it unlocked, it locks the doors and set's the
Alarm itself. The only way to shut off the PIG is pull the
Power/Battery. It is A 2000, EXL  Black on Black V6 Coup
with 89,890 on it, it is a Baby, and Spoilt Baby at that,
and I am A loss. Is There any sound answers out there??

ANSWER: The "passive to active" feature setting procedure
would only be found in the manual for the alarm.

I don't know the system you have there, but try my forum
page at www.INSTALLSUPPORT.com to see in the search
bar if there might be a past thread on
it, and where to download a copy of the manual.

If nothing pops up in the search, ask my forum moderator Robert
to see if he has a line on it for you.

Then you can figure out the toglling procedure
to turn of the passive arming function.

Good hunting.

QUESTION: Sir, she is Bog Stock Original as she was put out by Honda. Alarm and all. The have changed the key Pad, and that can be removed N not used, it may or may not react to this. What I have found is this. If the Key pad or door switch will not sound the Horn at the time it is set, then the car is in Silly mode and it set off. If it does set then it is not in the silly mode and will not sound off. Pulling power will give 2 or 3 days of the Alarm not going into Silly Mode. As can be seen I have really gone deep into this one. And still do not have and answer. RG.

Answer
Is there a siren?
If the door locks auto lock after the ignition is on,
or when the last door is closed, it's after market.
That's the "tell" here.

There are no OEM/FACTORY passive arming alarm systems.
There would be all kinds of trouble for
the service department if there was.

Likely to have been installed by the dealer at time of purchase,
and sold as a "OEM/FACTORY" system.
