Car Alarms: Auto-Mate Alarm, alarmtek, starter systems

My alrrm has switched from beeping when you arm it to a silent arming mode. I do not know how to switch it back. It happened when the passenger door was open when i tried to lock and arm it. How can I switch it back. I do not have a manual for it. I have a 4 button remote, lock, un-lock, AUX, and a panic button. What did I do?
