Car Alarms: 2002 Ford Escape Car Alarm Randomly going off, ford escape, battery drain

Question
My 2002 Ford Escape car alarm has been randomly going off during the day without anyone breaking in and the only way I can get it to turn off temporarily is to push my panic button my on key set but it just comes back on later. What could be wrong with it? This has happened before a year ago in the middle of the night waking up all my neighbors and the cops knocking on my door. Back then we found out the battery needed to be replaced and that's why the alarm was going off then. I just had the battery checked and its a good working battery according to the technicians machine. What else could cause my car alarm to randomly go off by itself?

Answer
Usually caused by an open circuit or as you assumed,
a perceptible battery drain/spike.

Without inspection, no way to tell
from here. I would now take it to Ford for evaluation
if it's me.

They should be able to suggest a course on this.

Sorry, but without inspection, too
many things could be wrong here to simply guess.
