Car Alarms: 2007 Ford Escape, car door locks, ford service

Question
I just bought a used Ford Escape (2007) it has 26,797 miles on it. If I arm the car with the key remote, it will randomly go off on it's own for a few seconds then turn off. I was told it is the panic alarm that is going off, as it is the only one that will go off by itself. There are no aftermarket parts on the car. I have not seen lights flashing just the horn beeping non-stop for about 30 seconds. Then 2 days ago I was a t a redlight, the signal for a door being ajar came on for a brief second, long enough for it to beep. It then went off, and my car door locks started unlocking/locking on there own.

Is there anyway to fix this or to find out what is wrong?

Answer
This actually sounds like an un seated
security module, or a bad ground as it's intermittency
can be attibuted to that kind of "short".

Could be a bad door pin switch too. Even
a low or failing battery can play havoc with the
electronics, and how they would react if
there was a bad or going bad, battery.

Have this looked at, at Ford service, and suggest
that it may be a mis connected module, or ground
wire/strap that could cause this fault.

(I am leaning however to the battery neededing service.)

Good luck with it.
