Car Alarms: Siren barely audible, google search, viper 300

Question
The siren on my Viper 300 car alarm is barely audible.The lights flash when arming, but the chirp can't be heard. If I open a door while the system is armed, the lights will flash, but there is no alarm. What should I check on? Thanks.
