QuestionMy car as no power to engine at all and car alarm remote will not operate to reset. It all began by the alarm just activating all day for the whole day and next morning nothing at all.
I can open and close car with key and when i put key in ignition and turn i get 4way hazard lights up on Dash flashing and full illumination on dash but nothing on the key at all no starter motor trying to turn over just dead.?????????
AnswerThis has an after market alarm in it and the starter kill
is engaged.
Ok, should be fairly easy. To try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE
This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.
That should solve the troubles for now.
Repeat the steps to toggle back to valet when needed.
