Car Alarms: reset starter kill/alarm on 2004 hyundai elantra gt, hyundai elantra gt, 2004 hyundai elantra

After stopping I inadvertently pressed the panic/alarm mode button on the remote. Now my car ignition is locked as well as the steering wheel. The alarm will still sound if pressed and I can still lock/unlock the doors with the remote. What is the procedure for resetting the alarm/starter kill system so that I can start my car[turn the key in the ignition switch] ?
