Car Alarms: 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alarm, jeep grand cherokee, light fuse

Question
I recently unplugged a 20AMP fuse (not in the panel) from under my dash to see if it was blown ( I was looking for my trailer light fuse)  When I plugged it back in the alarm went off. To turn if off I have to turn the key forward then hit what I beleive to be the valet button under the dash.  Then alarm is off and I can start the car.

But, now the alarm goes off every time I get in the car and have to go through this process every time.

Usually when I lock the car with my remote the horn sounds (alarm on?) then when I unlock it with the remote it chirps (alarm off).

Now it still sounds the horn when I lock it but when I unlock it I only hear the doors unlock, no chirp.  I enter and the alarm goes off again.

Feels like I am stealing my car every time I have to go somewhere.  HELP!

All of this merely because I removed a fuse and plugged it right back in?
