Car Alarms: truck starts by itself at 5pm every day, google search, support question

i just recently bought a used truck  with an auto mate starter (no manual)it starts by itself at 5pm every day,and i have to run outside to shut it off.  my pod will-not shut it off,ihave to hit the brake pedal to do so it also starts with the hood open. aany ideas?
