Car Alarms: 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T Dealer installed Alarm, installed alarm, dodge stratus

Hello, I suppose my questions is two-fold really so, here goes. I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T that has a dealer installed alarm system. I really don't know much about it but the FOB has the word EXTREME on the bottom (fairly well worn). The problem is that the alarm has been going off at 4am every couple of days and I have to get up to shut it off. It just started doing this. I think the horn for it is under the drivers side wheel well behind the skirt. Also, there is a blue button on the dashboard. If I can find the horn and I unplug it, do you think that will cause further problems? The alarm doesn't really beep or anything, it just sounds like the car horn going off w/lights flashing. I tried unplugging the car horn but when I armed the alarm, it sounded. Any ideas?
