Car Alarms: FORD RANGER 2007 3.0TDci Key, ford ranger, alarm systems

Question
Hi, i had an accident with a ford ranger 2007 3.0TDci, on which i've lost the keys and didn't have a second one, once fixed, i've ordered a new set of keys and toke the car to a dealer to programme the keys. a work that wouldn't take too much time. they have come back to me and said that the receiver (in the car) was damaged, that they would try to repair it, that's why they were taking long (already a week). So after they got back to me aggain and said that they couldn't repair it, so they would try to get a second hand receiver, which would be cheaper than a new one.

I'd like to ask you if that receiver could get damage?? or if there was a possibility of cut the receiver so that the car could start with a normal key??

how much is to programe a set of key?? how much is a receiver??

Because seems like those guys wants to take advantages with my situation cause they are the only dealers in 200 km from where i'm (MOZAMBIQUE).

Many thanks..
