Car Alarms: Honda Accord 1996 Alarm, honda accord 1996, electronic lock

Question
My electronic lock fob recently stopped working (even with a change of batteries) but my alarm goes off whenever someone tries to get in without using the fob to unlock the car. The engine will NOT start if the car is not unlocked with the fob. Since I essentially have no fob, there's no way for me to use my car. Is there a way to disable my alarm completely so that I can drive my car and not have to worry about a fob at all?

NOTE: I believe the alarm system isn't factory made, but I bought the car used, so I'm not sure. The alarm goes off when a door is opened and the lights flash and the sounds vary, like a siren.
