Car Alarms: Alarm for 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport, jeep cherokee sport, jeep cherokee

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ) and per Chrysler based on the vin and build sheet. Code XCYS  Delete Remote Start System  I do know that this has key less entry, and was curious if it was worth pursing a factory alarm as it was available in1997 and to enable the remote start and add the immobilizer? I am wanting to make the install integrate with current jeep, so that minimal or no major mods necessary needed for alarm. ANy thoughts or suggestions appreciated

I come from the other side of this one as I
only know after market when it comes to this
issue. If it were me in this I'd definately do an
after market because of the range involved.
"Factory" remotes have under 60 feet of range normally.
After Market, from 600 to 3000 feet depending on model.
