Car Alarms: Reprogram Chapman Fob, tick sound, car doors

Question
Hello, I have 2 Fobs that say Chapman on them. On the back it says: FCC: GOH-MM8-101890. I use these to unlock and lock my car doors (no horn honking sounds involved). There is a trip switch in the car so that if I open my car doors with the keys (without using the fobs) then my car wont start. These fobs don't ever make any sounds (car horn honks) or any of that when I lock or unlock the doors.
In any case, I do hear a slight "tick" sound as I lock or unlock the doors. Anyhow, I recently changed the batteries in my fobs and now they don't work at all.
I am stuck with two fobs that don't work. When I click the A or the D on the fobs, nothing happens, and I don't hear the "tick" sound anymore. Someone told me I need to reprogram them, but I don't know how and all of the steps I found online for similar fobs include a car horn honking or such in the setup and my car horn has never honked with these fobs. I've tried all the online stuff, but I just can't get my fobs to work. I just want to be able to have them work again! Thanks ahead of time. Sorry I don't have more information on this Chapman system. It came with the car when I bought it used.
Thanks!
Rhonda
