Car Alarms: Prestige Keyless Entry Remote, replacement transmitters, replacement remotes

My remote recently has the LED (red light) stay on continuously. Eventually, it drained the battery. I bought a new one last night, and the LED (red light) still stays on continuously. Remote does not work at this time.

Ideas ?

It's broken and likely needs replacing.
