Car Alarms: K9 Door Opener, crown vic, trunck

QUESTION: Hello
 Just thought you might have a suggestion on this matter. I have a remote door unlock/door opener on my K9 crusier. It has a small keychain remote and a larger remote which is on my belt. My problem is that the range on this remote opener is only about 100 feet. I would like to improve this. I have spoken to the company that makes this but that has not resolved the problem. The info I have states that it operates on a 300mhz range. Would a different, stronger output remote help? Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks,  Dave

  Ok, assuming this is the Crown Victoria POS,
I would opt for a new keyless entry remote that also
pops the trunk on command and has 500 to 600 ft range
(see many of these at www.KEYLESSCAR.com )

Adding new remotes to exisiting systems in difficult
to imposible if not the same company and it is
frequency locked to YOUR underdash system.

 Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, it is a 2005 Crown Vic. You say that it would be best to go to a new keyless entry remote. Do you mean just a change of a remote or a complete new system? The system is manufactured by a company in Michigan (TouchTronics). As I said not much help. Thanks,  Dave

ANSWER: Yeah, 100 feet is all you get, regardless of upgraded or
new remote to control it.

A new system is advised that's rated at 500 feet or more.
