Car Alarms: Clifford Polaris 2, keyless entry systems, car alarms

My 1999 Ford Expedition is equiped with a Clifford Polaris 2 alarm. Cliffor does not have the manual on thier site for this model (have Polaris 4 only)so I am hoping you can help me. When I leave any of the doors open for approximately 20-30 seconds or more, the LED on the dash begins to flash and if I shut the door the alarm will go off. Is there a way to get the system into another mode so I can leave the doors open for an extended period without setting off the alarm?
