Car Alarms: door pin not working, continuity test, pin switch

Hi I'm having a problem getting my drivers side door pin switch to work in a 2001 nissan pathfinder I notice a couple months back that when i open drivers door the dome light does not turn on when the switch is in door position.  The door pin is has a clean connection to ground.  The switch is good with continuity test. I'm not sure if it is in the secu or not. Please help thanks.  Ps all other doors work fine.

Hard to say what it is if all contact points are
clean. It's possible the door lock has a broken wire
for the door trigger, as it doubles for the factory alarm
trigger as well. Pull the door panel on drivers side and inspect
for any cuts or loose or broken wires.

If all turns out fine, then move onto checking
the SECU by plug in diagnostic to pin point the issue.
