Car Alarms: car immobilizer, google search, clifford model

Question
I have a 2000 hyundai accent. We got the car and it already had an ignition immobilizer. U stick this little fob into the box and usually within 3 seconds it deactivates and u can start the car. Now for some reason it won't, so my question is can I pull it out or bypass it so I can start my car. If so how do I go about doing it, if u could give me some step by step instructions it would be appreciated. The immobilier is a clifford, model unknown
