Car Alarms: 2000 nissan altima, nissan altima, security light

Question
i have a 2000 nissan altima with a factory car alarm. When i start my car it will run for about 2 seconds and shut off, when this happens the security light isnt on or blinking...i tried reseting it by disconnecting the battery but this does not help. if i lock the door with the key and leave it sit for an hour it will start up again, at this time the security light will be back on and flashing as normal. I want to disable the alarm but i am unsure of how to do so....
