Car Alarms: 98 Honda Accord Alarm, alarmtek, dash area

Question
QUESTION: My car alarm seems to be engaging constantly.  If I leave the car for about 5-10 min it will alarm.  It would alarm wether I have the alarm on or not.  The only solution I have at this point is by leaving the key in the ingnition.

Would you be able to tell how to disengage this alarm.

Thank you for your help in advance.

JG

ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: Thank you for your quick response.

What energizes are the parking lights and the siren.  Also please note that there is an LED light on the driver's side door just beside the locking knob/stud.

If would much appreciated if you could give a step by step procedure on how to turn the alarm on off position or how to completely disengage.

Thank you again.
