Car Alarms: Car Alarm, ultrastart, key switch

Question
I have an ultrastart 2250 installed in my 98 navigator,, i recently changed the heater core so the mechanics took off the dashboard,,and put it back how it was however the alarm on the car is not working right ever since,, it wont lock/unlock,and when i press the lock key switch on the door it beeps but it locks and sometimes it locks and unlocks alot of times.i was wondering if it got disacctivated and how would i activate it,.
