Car Alarms: My Toyota Fj Cruiser has a weird Alarm System, toyota fj cruiser, 2007 toyota fj

Question
Hi there,
I just got this Pre-Owned 2007 Toyota Fj Cruiser and every time I need to use the Car I use the Keyless entry, of course, and I can hear two kinds of beeping. The "usual" Toyota Beep and also the Horn of the Truck... When I leave the Fj I also use the Keyless Remote to "lock" the car and here it goes again. Both, the Toyota Beeping (which is pretty normal) AND the horn of the Truck.
Now, if I LOCK the car myself on my way out and I close the door the alarm will go OFF... which is pretty inconvenient because then I need to use the keyless remote every time for even locking the car...
I don't know what kind of alarm system the car has but I had a Sequoia, a 4Runner, a Camry, ven other cars but I don't want to hear the Horn of the Car unless I use it. Am I wrong ?
Any suggestions please ?

Answer
Understood. You seem to have 1 factory and
1 after market system at work here.

Let's try to put the after market it into valet/service mode,
and try to reset the alarm to disarm and stay that way.

First, turn on the ignition
key, then press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating
(90% of after market alarms will disarm this way).
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.

At this point. the after market alarm would have reset.
If it had a starter kill relay installed,
the relay would now be opened, and the engine
would turn over when tried.

The factory alarm will function normally however.

It will then stay disarmed until the steps
are repeated, to go back to user mode if desired.

Let me know if it works for yours.
