Everything on this 2001 Toyota RAV 4 is stock from the factory. There is nothing added.

These symptoms recently started for no apparent reason.

I am so frustrated with this mess that I will be very happy if I can simply get in and out of my car WITH NO ALARM WHATSOEVER. Can the alarm system be completely disabled ? I am ready to throw the baby out with the bath water ! Ha!

Thanks in advance for any advice.

1) Each and every time I unlock the driver's door BY KEY or BY REMOTE the alarm sounds. i.e. horn blows and lights flash. When I crank the car it stops.
2) Sometimes, after driving and after I stop and remove the key and get out and come back the car has automatically locked itself.
2)Sometimes after driving, when I stop and remove the key from the ignition, I can hear the door locks repeatedly clicking as if trying to lock the doors

You need more TLC I suppose. Try the 12volt site
or another that can assist for free.

Maybe the place that provided your alarm in
the first place for clarity on they're product?

In any case, anywhere else would be
advised. I would not want to advise you badly.
