Car Alarms: disable alarm, valet mode, acura intregra

Question
QUESTION: How do I disable Black Widow 3000? My car won't start and was told the alarm was the problem.

ANSWER: Ok, should be fairly easy. To try to disarm it,
look under the dash area for a button or,
a toggle switch. When you locate it, turn on the
ignition key, press and hold in the button (little
spring loaded micro button, red or black possibly)
until the alarm chirps 1 time. This should over ride
the system, and only the keyless entry part,
if installed, would still be operating.
The LED (light emiting diode) light in the dash
should also go on solid.=VALET/OVERIDE

This stops the alarm except for the keyless
entry if installed. Once in Valet mode,
it will allow the car to start and operate
like there was no alarm at all.

That should solve the troubles for now.
Repeat the steps to toggle back to valet when needed.

QUESTION: Caralarmman...
The alarm hasn't worked in a year or so, it is the Valet mode already. My car won't start....engine turns over, but won't start. I have been told that the alarm is keeping it from cranking. I want to unhook it from where it is installed to keep the car from cranking. We have power going to distributor, but none coming out. Can you help me?

ANSWER: That may be the car's factory alarm. Not the after market.
With after market, starter kill is just that.
No crank at all.

The Black Widow is in valet, so it's got to
be associated with the manufacturer's system.

QUESTION: I was not aware that this car had a factory alarm. Do all Acura Intregra's have a alarm, maybe there is someting wrong with the coil, distributor or etc. and the person that told me was wrong.

Answer
Yes, most all do have alarms, but we still have a problem
as the only way to disarm it is to actually have the factory remote
to do it. Contact Acura on Monday and price that out.

I wish there we another way to disarm, but short
of the key in the drivers door, turn all the way
left, then all the way right to unlock and disarm,
that's the only way I am aware of to solve this puzzle.

Thanks for the kind words.
