Car Alarms: Auto Mate Keyless entry, ford f250, keyless entry

I have a 1990 Ford F250 with Auto Mate Keyless entry it does not work I would like to remove it or fix it. 1 small brown wire is disconnected from the main box it cannot find where it goes.  Also the cylinder in the door is too small for my key.
