Car Alarms: Car Alarms, annoying beeps, alarmtek

When arming or disarming your car, does the "beep" have to sound?  Don't ALL cars have a 'mute' button so that we don't have to hear all the annoying "beeps" from everyone, at all times of the day and night? It is getting out control!

Answer
No not all have a silet mode. and not all people choose
that feature as they want to be certain the vehicle is
armed, or disarmed. Since that is on the whole
what alarms are supposed to do, it's a personal choice
not to use a silent mode if equipped.

Some alarms are equipped with a "soft chirp" setting,
but again, not a requirement, so it's not always part of
the programed functions as default
