Car Alarms: 2002 sebring conv wont start, sebring conv, alarmtek

Question
I saw you answer a question similar to mine of a 96 sebring. I have a 2002 sebring conv limited. The alarm was triggered and it did not seem to disengage when I turn the key in the ignition (this has worked properly in the past) I found the remote pad and locked/unlocked the door several times with it. I do not see the red light flashing anymore but when I try to start it nothing happens, no click no cranking nothing. The power seats and everything work fine. When I turn the ignition the display on the DTE indicator goes out. Is there something I need to reset? I pasted the answer you had for the other guy below would that work for me or is it different for my year?

OLD ANSWER

The key is why it's triggering. Without it,
you would normally insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. If yours is malfunctioning,
you can disable it for good by doing the following:

The FACTORY ALARM DISARM WIRE IS
green/white |-| located in the drivers
door harness coming into the car in the door jamb.

Once Located, splice into this wire with
a simular guage wire, and put it to
a solid chassis ground. This terminates
the alarm functions entirely.

However, at this point, this car would be exceedingly
easy to steel, so I suggest you get an aftermarket
alarm system to protect it from here on in.

Have a good day.

Answer
No, not at all. A completely different company designed it.
It is VERY difficult to disarm disable this system on your own
unless you have all the hardware and diagnostics software
found at Chrysler.

It requires 2 relays/resistors and an after market device
for keyless entry to control it all.

No, sorry, this one needs a visit to Chrysler for evaluation
and repair.

Sorry about that.
