Car Alarms: car alarm malfunction- causing car to not start?, light flashes, car alarm

i have a q45. 1994. The mechanic had it for 2 weeks after I was having trouble getting it to start on several occassion. sometimes i would get in it and turn it all the way to the right and-nothing. It would not start. it wasnt the battery because everything else works. The tow truck mentioned that it could be my alarm. He pointed out the alarm light flashed after opening the door with the key. My key pad- hasnt workd for months and ive been using the key since then. It seems that as long as I dont mess with the lock features or put the key in the door the car will start. When I do mess with the locks- the light flashes and the car will not start. -until plenty of time later- then it will start?   I need to know is this an alarm problem and where can I or should i go to get this quickly resolved. I am in 94560 california. Please advise- if possible. Thank you for the reply and referral if possible.

Only real way to tell is to take it to a car alarm installer,
NOT a mechanic. They on the whole have no idea what a car
alarm can do, or how to fix them.

The best idea is to take it to a car alarm guy for inspection
and repair if possible. This will then be able to get you in the
right direction.
