Question
I have a 2003 Dodge Neon SE that has an alarm system that was installed by an alarm technician prior to me purchasing the car from a dealer.  Every once in a while the car will just completely shut down while I'm driving it.  I open the hood and tighten a wire that's wrapped around the positive or negative on the battery and the car starts back up. Can you please tell me if this wire has something to do with the alarm system.  Thank you

Unlikely.
  I'd have Dodge inspect the tranponder system using
they're diagnostic to see if there is a breakdown
between the key and the reader in the ignition,
or if the Body Control Module is throwing
a security code and why.

But unlikely to be from an after market system.
