Car Alarms: Manual vs Automatic Transmission, galaxy 5000rs, jeep wrangler

Question
QUESTION: I have a jeep wrangler 5 spd.  A friend has a non-manual transmission version of the Galaxy 5000RS  he'll give me, can i make it work?  I really like the idea of the "auto start on a cold ambient temp" feature the Galaxy 5000 offers.

ANSWER: NO!
This will NOT be a safe option. You could
end up damaging the Jeep or worse, a human being close to it.
It has no way to tell if the Jeep is in or out of gear.
Get a system that can!

Sorry, but very un wise if you procede.

QUESTION: What if I use a neutral safety module with it?

Answer
It's unsafe.
Still wrong to do it unless the remote starter
is designed for remote start with built in procedures
require before it will remote start.

& bypassing the clutch is just unsafe in ANY case.
So no, that does not change my opinion.

But who the hell am I to tell what you should do?
Do what you want.

America is a great country! Freedom to do as you
please regardless of popular opinion. ;>)
